Work Statement

My inspirations come from Astronomy, Cosmology and Spirituality. I explore this rich, vibrant culture reaching for the Ether by guided meditations. This invaluable information was endowed by the Heavens and will be where art is born.

Henna art application is done by the women of the world. Set on the uncommon vision ideas and style. Learned and was taught through meditations, life experiences, setbacks and self-taught were the beginning stages of rebellion. Keen to innovate by a unique process of manipulating materials. Pushing and directing colour in a way is well suited to the subject.

Technical Statement

The purpose was to create unique art. Combining elements of practical and impractical methods of traditional painting were the key towards my vision.

The usual techniques of conventional painting created by centuries of Master Artists didn’t stimulate the senses. The painting style was set on the uncommon vision ideas. Learned and was taught through meditations, life experiences, setbacks being a woman, and self-taught were the beginning stages of rebellion. I was keen to innovate by a unique process of manipulating materials.

Brushes were not for Indian women to splurge. I used the henna application as a substitute for creating and expressing works of art. Developing a unique style with rhythm, symbols and energy that was the intention. Desired to create an unusual language of abstraction with textural layering a brilliance of colours. Pushing and directing colour in an uncommon way that is well suited to the subject. This technique took years to develop and master. The link between uncommon orbital vision ideas and unlimited style was set. I yearned to have it placed on the surface randomly and instantly. Rebellion is most satisfying when creating unconventional techniques in art. The process of capturing the movements is magical and humanly simultaneous.

Cultural Statement

I belong to two vibrant beautiful cultures. Born in India and raised in NY since age 4. Amalgamating the ideas brought by both culture ancestors were my interest.

The studio I work in is thoroughly a deep, personal space, seldom is for discussion or to divulge. It’s strictly an area for meditations and creating art.

My inspirations come from Astronomy and the Cosmos which was founded in the Middle East region earlier known as Mesopotamia. I explore this rich, vibrant culture through reaching for the Ether by guided meditations. Deeply rooted in spirituality to redevelop myself and the evolution of art. There was a constant dialogue on life inquiries. This invaluable information that was endowed by the Heavens ; where art is born.

The art of henna originated in India, Africa and the Middle East. Its application is revered and regarded by the women of the world. Henna art is a part of our Indian culture. I converted this ancient traditional body art as unconventional way to express on surface. Henna art has rich heritage for ages. Its application is by the women of the world. Set on the uncommon vision ideas and style. Learned and was taught through meditations, life experiences, setbacks and self taught were the beginning stages of rebellion. Keen to innovate by a unique process of manipulating materials. Pushing and directing colour in a way is well suited to the subject. It is all done randomly and instantly. There is a saying, “fears can be tangled and knotty in the stomach “. I used this term literally in painting. It was brought to the surface. Being avant-garde and be a part of history is the wish of my soul’s legacy. This demeanour will accentuate for a greater good and purpose.
